Recital Weekend!

This is always a big weekend for the Frost Family. With Taylor being in line we have to be at every show during the recital. Saturday and Sunday we got to SLU High School at 1 pm and didn't leave until 8 pm, and then of course we have to go out with the other dancers after the recital, the joys of being a teenager. Many long days and long nights, but the girls looked great! Laney was thrilled to be like her big sister and have more than one costume to wear. Taylor was a demonstrator this year which means she was a teacher assistant. She demonstrated for Laney's jazz class which was always interesting when I picked up. Taylor always told me everything Laney did wrong and Laney always responded with "I hate her being in my class!" Taylor was introduced on stage as a demonstrator which was exciting for her. They each did three dances and did an amazing job! Way to go girls! Thank you to everyone that came to support the girls. They really appreciate it!

We started off the summer with Taylor and Delaney attending Track Camp. The girls did great. They each brought home ribbons, many 1st and 2nd place! Way to go girls!

What a Birthday!

My little girl is 7. Wow how time flies. I still remember sitting in the hospital bed while my family ran around like crazy getting Taylor to her dance recital. Everyone at the dance studio will always remember Delaney's birthday too!
Today we celebrated Delaney's special day with Aunt Katie bringing her breakfast in bed. Then we headed to the cards game where Delaney had a Happy Birthday message on the scoreboard and Delaney and the rest of her school went down on the field to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". What a game even though they lost! After the game we headed to Mama and Papa's house for a dinner that Delaney picked - steak, that's my girl. Happy 7th Birthday Laney!

Lou Lou's Luau

What a Party! Beautiful weather and a very happy little girl.

Sixteen 6 and 7 year old girls came to our house for a Luau for Delaney's 7th Birthday. If you didn't know Laney is quite the party planner she knew what she wanted. She wanted a Flip Flop cake, goody bags and pineapple shaped cups for party favors. We were going to just do goody bags or the pineapple cups, but thanks to Mama she got the pinieapple cups and goody bags! For games she wanted to do water balloons and the Limbo game with a real Limbo stick, not the blow up one I saw at the Dollar Store. All of her friends arrived at noon for lunch. Darnel grilled hot dogs and Laney, Mama, Taylor and I made fruit kabobs. The kids ate, played, and ate again. We had a fantastic time and Laney had a smile on her face all day!
