Frost Visit KC

We love being able to go to KC and visit all the Frost cousins. It doesn't happen as often as it did before due to all the kids schedules. This past weekend we headed up to visit our cousins and also celebrate Clark's 40th birthday! With 7 kids in the house things can get a little crazy. We spent Friday night just hanging out and letting the 9 cousins (2 other cousins stopped by) play together. Saturday we played at home all day and watched the wintery weather arrive in KC. We were getting a little worried if we could pull off the surprise with all the sleet and snow. At 3pm the adults were heading out to enjoy the evening and a very daring babysitter came to babysit the 9 kids. We headed to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Mizzou game and then headed to Fox and the Hound to surprise Clark. We had a great time having an adult night out and the kids loved just playing and eating pizza. The weekend definitely went by too fast. Hopefully the KC Frost have their house back in order and had as much fun as we did.

St. Patty's Day

After seeing how our family celebrates St. Patrick's Day you would think we were Irish. My mother loves to decorate her house and entertain on the holidays. Everyone came over on March 13th to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and then everyone who lives in town returned again on March 17th for more corned beef and cabbage. The kids loved the green water where, according to my mom the leprechaun took a bath. We also enjoy lots of treats. My mom even made sure that the kids took green popcorn to school to share with their class.

Trey Quote

Trey: Mommy did you put the tookies in the tar?

Me: Did you mean the Cookies in the Car.

Trey: That's what I said.

(We are really working on saying c's instead of replacing them with t's and tr instead of replacing with an f - train instead of frain)

Beautiful Weather = Outdoor Fun

Beautiful weather on a Saturday meant a trip to the Zoo! During breakfast the kids put in their request of must see animals. We packed up a bag of snacks and headed out to enjoy the day. The weather was wonderful, the animals were out and the kids were having the best time. Trey and Laney loved being our tour guides through the Zoo planning our next animal stop which included the penguins and watching the seals being fed. After our long Zoo visit we headed to lunch and then to Mama and Papa's to see Aunt Kara and Baby Claire.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday the students in my class made hats and bow ties to wear. Knowing the love Trey has developed for Cat in the Hat after finding a stuffed animal at Mama's house, I brought a hat and bow tie home for him. Little did I know how much he would love it and wear it ALL night!
